Singer Chitra who lost her daughter Nandana in a tragic incident in Dubai decided to go for a noble cause on her daughter's name. She started "Snehanandana Charitable Trust" in association with a Malayalam channel, ACV. Chitra intends to help the struggling singers and musicians who are unable to make ends meet when they become old. The trust will trace out such singers and will help them to become self reliant. Already two deserving beneficiaries have been found and they will be given Rs. 3000 as a monthly pension. Kerala Chief Minister, Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the trust. This will be followed by some entertainment programmes provided by the leading playback singers. The show will be aired on ACV.
